Dr. Sergei Boikov, Ph.D., M.S., CCC-A

Dr. Boikov is in charge of our Royal Oak and Livonia clinics. Dr. Boikov is the only audiologist in the USA holding not only a Master's Degree in Audiology but also M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. His practice is limited to Audiology. He is board certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensed to practice in the state of Michigan. He is a member of the International Association of Physicians in Audiology. He is a highly educated professional with more than 30-years' experience in treating patients. Dr. Boikov is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia. He became a third-generation physician when he graduated with Honors from St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical Academy at the age of 24. He worked there as an attending physician and Associate Professor of Pediatrics for 15 years. He received there a Ph.D. degree in Medical Pathology/Infectious Diseases. He came to the U.S. in 1992 as a participant of a fellowship at Children's Hospital of Oakland, California. Following this, he worked as a researcher at Children's Hospital of Michigan/WSU. Dr. Boikov graduated from Wayne State University with a Master's Degree in Audiology. He completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital and DMC and his fellowship at Providence Hospital. He then worked for an ENT practice in Dearborn. He joined George Iwanow Hearing Aid Centers, Inc. in 2004. He and his family are interested in classical music and the arts. He frequents and supports the DSO and is a great fan of the Detroit Opera House and DIA. He is also interested in traveling, photography, kayaking, running, cycling, XC skiing, gardening, and carpentry.
